Lets Learn Punjabi

The urgent need of having Global Roman / Latin script for the Punjabis scattered throughout the world.
There are more than 120 millions Punjabis scattered throughout the world and they have no facility for learning either Arabic, Persian or Devnagiri script. Most of them still speak Punjabi but their number is decreasing due to Punjabi cleansing by Upia and CPias (muhajir hidustanis).

Fortunately, time has come to join the International community to learn and write Punjabi in Latin instead of Persian, Arabic or any other script.  It is easy for our new generation to learn in Latin and speak Punjabi. Almost all of our new generation has to learn English language has Latin script. I would like to request Punjabi mothers to be proud by speaking and teaching your children our mother tongue.
I assure you all my sisters’ daughters’ mothers there is no any language bad or best. It is all propaganda and brainwashing by media and beaurocracy to wipe out our mother tongue to rule us by Urdu speakers which are hatters of our mother tongue. To be honest I have lived with many UPias and CPias and have tried to adopt Urdu but failed to correct my accent to these Hindustanis.
I would like to share what one of Punjabi poet says

                Maan boli  noo chad kay jehray ghair di boli bolan
                Eho jai bandian ral kay dais noo layan leekaan
                Kiddy sohni gul kissay nay ehna baray keeti
                Daisi banday hu kay maran paiy walyati chikaan

I would like to refer Punjabi daughter’s sisters and mothers about how media and educational books written by these muhajir urdias are treating our great Punjabi culture

Fourth Book of Urdu published by Punjab text book board Lahore 1987 page no 18 has article about “Pakistani Bachay” (Pakistani children). The writer of this book has written about Pakistani children of different provinces i.e these are Sindi children has sindi language, these are pashtoon children has Pashto language and these are Balochi children has Balochi language. When writer mentions Punjabi children he continues on page 19 “these are Punjabi brother and sister.” In picture one boy wearing Aitchken , second boy wearing dhoti and turban (pughri), and writer continues  “village children herd (Chratay) and look after cattle’s.”

The writer of this book deliberately has ignored Punjabi children’s language which is Punjabi and Punjabi children has never dress like Aichken.

And another


Cultural studies for 4th year About Punjab has not even single word about Punjabi language.

And

Eighth Urdu book published by Punjab Text book board Lahore 1988 and recognized by National Review committee central ministry of education Pakistan Islamabad has one “article about “Punjabi Adab “ (Punjabi literature) page 32

“Urdu and Punjabi both have same script. Any person who learn to read Urdu can read Punjabi easily”

and after writing this he continues on next page 33 by giving some parts of  Punjabi sufi mystics poetry but in what  language? Punjabi?  No it is impossible and then what language?  Urdu language. Punjabi children are forced to read Urdu in their homeland even Punjabi translated into Urdu.

Great Punjabi poets like Bhuley Shah , Shah Hussain , Ghulam farid, sultan Bahoo, Haider, farid shaker ganj, waris shah and mian mohammad baksh are completely ignored in Punjabi schools and colleges but all text books are full of urdu poetry by Ghalib, Mir taqi anis, mir dard, faraq and akbar allahbadi which are urdu speaking (muhajir Hindustanis). No wonder “Saqi” was popular with Urdu Persian poetry in history. The “Saqi” (drinks serving boy cum sex slave) used to be “bacha be reesh” (beardless boy).

 In the book for 11th and 12 the class “ Khiaban Adab “ published by Punjab text book board Lahore
under topic “Quami Zuban” (national language) by Maulvi Abdul Haque page no 127 “ Everyone loves local and mother languages and should be but there is another language which is national language which has higher status than local and mother tongues” Then Maulvi Abdul haque continues by writing advantages of national language and disadvantages  of local and mother tongues.

I would like to refer to a book titled “Facts about Pakistan”. It is published by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of Pakistan Islamabad, and distributed free to visitors and tourists. It has no publishing date. The name of author is also not given. Its chapter 13 is about Punjab. The “Cultural Heritage” section of the chapter begins with thus,
  
“Arts and artifacts bequeathed to Pakistan are essentially Islamic in nature. The magnificent edifice dotting this land of ancient civilization, in the form of forts, palaces, mosques and mausoleums, are eloquent reminders of the great tradition in Muslim architecture. The structure of a mosque is simple and expresses a sense of openness. Calligraphic inscriptions from the Holy Quran decorate mosques and mausoleums to create a divine atmosphere.” (Page 198)   

The section goes on identifying “Muslim musicians” for their great contributions and also
other Muslim architectural landmarks.

As zaidi mentions  I have comment to make on the above quote in line with the argument I have been presenting in this paper. Although the section is about Punjabi culture, Punjab is substituted by Pakistan. No reference is made to the ancient Harappan civilization. Harappa lies only a 90 minutes drive south of Lahore. No reference is made to the ancient Gandhara civilization, or the first university in the world established in Taxila. The fascinating fasting Buddha and the ancient temples of Katas have been effaced from memory. No reference has been made to the Punjabi language.

    Why there is no room for local cultures in an Islamic state? The answer is provided by one of the most revered Pakistani scholars of Islam. I quote from his book which printed by government of Pakistan has for years been a part of the compulsory “Islamic Studies” subject in the schools and colleges. The author likens Islam to fascism:

“The Islamic state would endorse some part of the program of the fascist state. Fascism proposes to weld the nation into an organic whole in which conflicts of interest shall not be allowed a free-play to the detriment of national solidarity. The right of private property is recognized as it is recognized in Islam, but all rights of the employers and employees are subject to the overall supervision and control of the state. . . . However one might appreciate the fascist methods of harmonizing conflicts within the body politic
and of achieving national solidarity , the moral cost is too high to be imitated by a truly Islamic state, whose aim is the establishment of universal peace transcending all racial and national boundaries “(Hakim 1988  269-270)


Zaidi Further goes on in his paper about the website of the Pakistan High Commission in Brunei (http://www.brunet.bn/gov/emb/pakistan/history.htm) gives the following introduction to Pakistan’s history; “The Islamic Republic of Pakistan emerged as an independent state on 14 August 1947, it has its roots into the remote past. Its establishment was the culmination of the long struggle by Muslims of the South-Asian
Subcontinent for a separate homeland of their own. Its foundation was laid when Mohammad Bin Qasim subdued Sindh in 711 AD as a reprisal against sea pirates that had taken refuge in Raja Dahir,s kingdom. The advent of Islam further strengthened the historical individuality in the areas now constituting and further beyond its boundaries.”


I would like to make another point to Punjabi sisters daughters and mothers if Punjabi was that bad then why our great Sufi mystics like Bhuley shah, Baba Farid shaker gang,
Sultan Baho, Waris shah, Shah Hussain and Heider etc. have adopted Punjabi for their great poetry.

Mother tongue is the soul of our community. If the soul goes away, how long can the community survive?

If we ask about our rights of mother tongue it doesn’t mean we are against any language or any creed but it is impossible to let further kill our mother tongue and genocide of Punjabi culture.

Jam jam jeway Urdu,  jam jam geo bhia Hindustani muhajiro and  wasso tay geo mahajiraan day Punjabi tetpunjeo but leave us in peace to use our mother tongue and practice our culture. We are proud of Our Punjabi culture it teaches love peace and harmony on secular basis.

Now let’s talk about people talking dividing of our Punjab. You have already divided our Punjab and millions  innocent Punjabis slaughtered during migration due to hate created by these Upia and CPias. They were all Punjabi Muslims Sikhs and Hindus who paid heavy price for division of Punjab. The great Punjabi poet Amreeta Pretam express herself while traveling in migratory train

 No more division of Punjab on basis of Sreiki or anything. If someone can not administer then leave the government and go back to your lords. These remains of foreign plunderers invaders who looted and robbed our homeland as it was no man land. It was the great Punjabis who always resisted foreign invasions and looting of our land.
Unfortunately majority of the invaders were muslims who looted killed Punjabis including fellow muslims as well. Although The Great Punjabis will resist again against any division of our motherland.

Gurmukhi script

The Gurmukhi alphabet developed from the Landa alphabet and was standardised during the 16th century by Guru Angad Dev Ji, the second Sikh guru. The name Gurmukhi means "from the mouth of the Guru" and comes from the Old Punjabi word guramukhī.

Shahmukhi Script
The Shahmukhi alphabet is a version of the Urdu alphabet used to write Punjabi in Pakistan. It is normally written in Nastalīq style and has been used since the second half of the 20th century. The name Shahmukhi means "from the King's mouth".
